The management of the Atlantic El Tope Hotel values the limitation of available resources and the impact generated by the establishment’s activity on the environment. This determines the need to take a proactive attitude towards environmental protection and promote the implementation of an environmental management system.
Since its conception, the Atlantic El Tope has opted for an environmental policy, day by day it continues to study and carry out the necessary reforms within its functional structure, aimed at making its economic result compatible with the development of environmental values.
Our Environmental Management System is backed with the Travelife Golf Award and since 2012 we are also bound to the Comprehensive System of Tourism Quality in Destination (known in Spanish as SICTED) which has consistently granted us the “Tourism Quality” label certifying the compliance with all the requirements as per its methodology.
Sustainability and environment are not only a matter of natural resources, but also of people. Hotels and tourism are the main economic engine of our island, as such they have a responsibility towards the local community and should actively collaborate in the creation of its social fabric. As an independent hotel chain we are especially proud of our sustainability achievements, but our goal is that caring for our environment ceases to be a trend and a reason for differentiation until it becomes a common feature of all tourism-related hotels and businesses in our destination and globally.
